On October 8, officers from the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence intercepted a passenger at Lucknow railway station. The individual had arrived on the Vande Bharat Express from Howrah and was carrying hidden gold. A total of 1.202 kg of foreign-origin gold was seized during the operation by DRI officials. This gold, valued at about Rs 1.72 crore, was concealed in a knee cap.
