US expands visa social media checks to three more categories from October 1
From October 1, the US will expand social media screening to I, TN and TD visa applicants, requiring foreign journalists, USMCA professionals and their dependants to make all social media profiles public or open. The move adds these categories to an online vetting regime that already covers H-1B workers, students, exchange visitors and several other visa classes.
