When most Virginians think about hunting, deer, turkey, and waterfowl probably come to mind first. But on warm evenings around ponds, creeks and wetlands, another outdoor tradition offers a much different challenge: frog hunting. Often called “frogging,” the activity combines hunting, fishing and wildlife watching. Instead of sitting in a tree stand or casting across a lake, frog hunters usually move slowly along the water’s edge, listening for calls and watching for the shine of a frog’s eyes.
