Ford plans to phase out China-built Lincoln models for the US

Ford Motor Co. announced its intention to phase out the import of China-built Lincoln brand vehicles to the U.S. to reduce exposure to tariffs and comply with new connected vehicle regulations. This move includes boosting domestic production of Lincoln vehicles starting in 2030, with the aim of creating U.S. jobs. The decision also aligns with the new Connected Vehicles Rule which restricts imports of cars with connected-vehicle technology linked to China due to security concerns.
