‘Second Amendment isn’t second-class right': Trump’s DOJ moves to restore felons’ gun rights

The Trump administration is moving to create a new pathway for some people with felony convictions to seek restoration of their federal gun rights. The Justice Department says applications will be reviewed case by case, with criminal history, reputation and public safety taken into account. Attorney General Todd Blanche says the Second Amendment should not be treated as a 'second-class right,' while gun safety advocates warn the policy could create new risks.
