Unai Mateo The unimaginative spawn of Kill Bill , Killing Eve , and John Wick , the new series Kill Jackie is a pitifully derivative revenge saga in which Catherine Zeta-Jones, 57, struts around Spain in fancy outfits touting her own badassery as she battles a cadre of legendary assassins. Based on Nick Harkaway’s book The Price You Pay , AMC’s eight-part thriller series (Oct. 2) lacks virtually everything it needs—inspiration, cleverness, hilarity, suspense—and its cartoonishness is so extreme that it murders any chance at being taken seriously.
