Navi Mumbai immersed 8,573 Ganesh idols across 189 sites on Anant Chaturdashi, including 8,125 household and 448 public idols. The NMMC deployed lifeguards, fire brigade teams, CCTV cameras and other safety measures. A total of 10.95 tonnes of nirmalya was collected and sent for composting.
