Morgan Stanley significantly increased its crypto fund positions in Q2, primarily by boosting its holdings in BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) by 23% to 16.5 million shares. Despite the increased share count, the value of these IBIT holdings decreased due to a drop in Bitcoin's price during the quarter. The investment banking giant also expanded its exposure to other Bitcoin and Ether ETFs, as well as initiating positions in Solana staking ETFs and increasing stakes in Circle and various Bitcoin mining companies.
