Jadavpur's Tagore-linked emblem damaged in vandalism; case filed

In response to violent protests on campus, the vice chancellor of Jadavpur University has filed police complaints addressing the incident of vandalism. Following demonstrators' actions that damaged the university emblem, police initiated a case into the trespass by unknown individuals. Student unions and faculty expressed strong disapproval over the defacement, while state finance minister Swapan Dasgupta condemned the act against the institution's symbol.
