Amaran Row: BJP Slams TVK MLA Mustafa | “Army or Terrorists?” | Vijay Asked To Respond

A fresh political controversy has erupted in Tamil Nadu over Amaran, the film based on the life and military service of Major Mukund Varadarajan.BJP Tamil Nadu president Nainar Nagenthran has strongly criticised TVK MLA S. Madhar Badhurudeen, also known as Mustafa, over his remarks about the film's portrayal of terrorism and Muslims. Nagenthran questioned whether Mustafa's objections meant he sympathised with terrorists rather than the Indian Army, and asked TVK chief and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay to clarify whether the MLA's views represent the party's position.The BJP leader also objected to the suggestion that depicting Pakistani terrorists in a film based on Major Mukund Varadarajan's life could be seen as targeting a particular community.
