$2.2 billion uranium project begins construction in northern Saskatchewan

NexGen Energy Ltd has commenced construction on its $2.2 billion Rook I Project in northern Saskatchewan, marking the start of Canada's largest development-stage uranium project. The underground mine and mill will tap into the Arrow Deposit, one of the world's highest-grade uranium deposits, to meet increasing global demand for nuclear energy. The project is expected to create 1,400 annual jobs in Saskatchewan and produce 20% of the current global triuranium octoxide supply over 24 years.
